Under-19's Team defeated by Pieta Hotspurs FC

Birkirkara FC Under-19's Team suffered their first defeat in the Youths League Section A, when in the second match of the league, they conceded a 3-2 defeat against Pieta Hotspurs FC.

Pieta had taken an early lead through Jan Busutill but the Stripes made a strong reaction to turn the score in their favour in the first half thanks to goals by Gianluca Zammit and Nevin Portelli.

However, the second half saw Pieta pushing forward and managed to turn the score in their favour with two goals in the last thirteen minutes of the match, courtesy of goals on the seventy-seventh and eighty-second minute.

The Stripes will be involved in the next match against Pembroke Athleta FC on Monday, 6 November. The match will be played at the Centenary Stadium and it will kick off at 20:00.
