Under-19's Team register positive start

Birkirkara FC Under-19's Team kicked off their Youths League Section A commitments with a satisfactory victory, as in a six-goal thriller, they defeated reigning Champions St. Andrew's FC with a 4-2 score.

New-comer Nevin Portelli took just three minutes to open his scoring account with our Club, as he beat the goalkeeper with a fine effort, following an excellent pass by Ayrton Attard. However, St. Andrew's converted a penalty kick late in the first half, as the first-half ended in a 1-1 draw.

St. Andrew's turned the score in their favour in the opening minutes of the second half, but a strong reaction from the Stripes saw Ayrton Attard, Zack Cassar and Gianluca Zammit scoring a goal each to regain the lead and register the first victory of the season.
