Joseph Willy's late goal give Under-19's a winning start

A late goal by Joseph Willy thirteen minutes from time handed the Stripes maximum points in the opening match of the Youths League Section A thanks to a narrow victory over Balzan FC.

The Stripes, who produced a satisfactory performance in the first match under the guidance of Coach Herman Bugeja, scored the all-important goal on the seventy-seventh minute, when following a fine run by Liam Reno Gatt, Joseph Willy slotted home from inside the box to give the Stripes the first three points in the league.

Birkirkara will face Pieta Hotspurs next Tuesday. The match will be played at the Sirens Stadium and it will kick off at 20:15.
