Rowen Muscat was born on 5 June 1991 and is one of the best youngsters on the island who ever played for Birkirkara FC.
Rowen started practicing football at a very young age at the Birkirkara nursery and has never left the Club. Even at his tender age in the nursery he was always capable of showing great potential.
Season 2009-2010
The 2009-2010 season was a a special one for Rowen, as the promising youngster managed to earn his place for the first time ever with the Senior Team, and to round it off in a wonderful way, the Stripes won their third Premier League in their history
The youngster debut was on the 10th October when he comes as a substitute against Dingli Swallows in the last ten minutes, while Muscat's name in the starting eleven for the first time was on the 18th October 2009 against the Hibernians where they shared the spoils in a 2-2 draw.
Besides being introduced to, and later on becoming a regular player in the senior squad, this was a memorable for Rowen, as ‘The Stripes' were crowned champions for the third time in their history.
In this 2009-2010 season, Rowen made 21 appearances and he started eighteen matches from the start and was included as a substitute three times. He won the Man of the Match twice. The first time was on the 6th March 2010 when our team managed to defeat Qormi with a 2-0 score line. The second time was on the 28th March, when our team registered one of the most important wins that season, in the match against Valletta, which put ‘The Stripes' four points clear of their rivals.
Season 2010-2011
Rowen's second season with the senior squad was not as successful, as he decreased his level and he failed to find consistency. In the Premier League Rowen made 20 appearances and he was included in the starting line-up of all 20 matches.
Season 2011-2012
Rowen's 2011-2012 season was quite an acceptable one, but still, consistency lacked in Rowen's performances. In the Premier League he made 22 appearances, in which he began 18 and was included as a substitute four times. He scored his first ever goal with our Club in this competition in the 2-3 loss against Tarxien Rainbows which was played on the 6 November 2011.

He managed to net two goals in the same competition while hitting another strike in the U*BET FA Trophy.
Seson 2014-2015
After Rowen's contract expired, the promising youngster sought for a new adventure in his football career and he decided to continue his career abroad by joining the Hungarian side, Dunaujvaros PASE.
Rowen’s spell with the Hungarian side had to be cut short after six months after the Club had financial problems and led for the Maltese midfielder to be released from the Club.
With Rowen back on our island, there were several Clubs that showed interest in the tireless midfielder but once again he opted to sign for the Club that he grew with and signed a new contract till the end of the season on Saturday, 31 January 2015.
