Women's Team voted as the Sports Team of the Year

Birkirkara FC Women's Team were recognised for their memorable year in 2022 as they were voted the Sports Team of the Year in the Roll of Honours Awards Night organised by Bulletproof.

The Stripes had a memorable year as they became the first Maltese club to win a match in the UEFA Women's Champions League besides winning all three domestic honours in women's football. Furthermore, by the end of 2022, they increased their unbeaten streak in the women's league to an astonishing 77 matches to become the first women's team to clinch this award.

The club would like to congratulate the Women's team section and acknowledges the efforts made by all parties involved. The club remains committed to offering women's football the necessary resources to continue progressing throughout the forthcoming years.
