BOV Premier League - Birkirkara FC 3-0 Tarxien Rainbows FC

Birkirkara FC secured their second consecutive victory in the BOV Premier League yesterday evening when they defeated Tarxien Rainbows FC with a comfortable 3-0 score.

In a match that the Stripes dominated for long stretches, Isaac Ntow broke the deadlock in the first half before a goal each by Federico Falcone and Caio Rocha added further gloss on a deserved victory.

By this victory,  the Stripes climbed to the eighth place level points with Mosta FC, just one point behind Balzan FC who are on fourteen points. This was the first time this season that the Stripes registered back to back victories.

Birkirkara surged ahead four minutes from half time. A cross on the second post found Isaac Ntow who had space to control the ball inside the box and his fierce shot beat goalkeeper Rudy Briffa.

The Stripes were superior at the start of the second half and they made it all count after seven minutes when they doubled the lead. An inch-perfect cross by Vella found Falcone who hit a fine header from close-range.

Birkirkara made them three on the sixty-third minute. Edison Luis Dos Santos was floored inside the box by Destin Mambouana and the referee ordered the penalty. From the spot, Caio Rocha made no mistake.

Isaac Ntow was voted the BOV Player of the Match.
