Kailey Willis signs for Birkirkara FC

by Ayrton Galea - 26th June 2018

Birkirkara FC Women's Team started their transfer campaign for Season 2018-2019 with a major signing, as fifteen-year-old Kailey Willis, who is highly-rated as one of the best young talents of Women's football, has signed for our Club.

Willis is just fifteen-years-old, but she has already established herself as one of the best forwards in Women's football. She ended the Under-19's League as a top scorer with twenty-nine goals while she placed as the third best scorer in the BOV Women's League with twelve goals.

The towering forward forms part of the Under-16's National Team and she was one of the protagonist that helped the National Team to finish first in the UEFA Youth U16 Girls Development Tournament. Willis scored five goals in this tournament, all scored in the victory against Gibraltar and she finished as the top scorer of the tournament.

The signing of Willis continues the underline the importance of young players in the team by Coach Melania Bajada. The Gozitan Coach has built a reputation of investing in the best young talent following the last season.

We would like to welcome Kailey while wishing her all the best of luck in her adventure with our Club.
