U19: Birkirkara FC 3-5 Pieta Hotspurs FC

Birkirkara FC Under-19's Team were unable to hold on a two-goal lead, as they conceded a 5-3 defeat to Pieta Hotspurs FC in the Youths League Section A.

The Stripes were leading with a 3-1 score till twenty-three minutes from time, but a remarkable four-goal comeback in space of twenty minutes stunned the Stripes as Pieta Hotspurs emerged as winners from the dramatic encounter.

Pieta Hotspurs surged ahead after twenty-minutes by Clyde Bouvet but goals by Nevin Portelli and Ayrton Attard turned the score in favour of the Stripes. The Stripes ended the first-half leading by a 2-1 score.

Attard increased Birkirkara's lead four minutes inside the second half. However, a brace by Jan Busutill and a goal each by Jake Bone and Clyde Bouvet stunned the Stripes as Pieta Hotspurs won the match with a 5-3 score.
