U19 Team: Birkirkara FC 2-1 Valletta FC

Birkirkara FC registered their second consecutive victory in the Youths League Section A, when they defeated Valletta FC with a 2-1 score.

The Stripes surged ahead after fifteen minutes when Lian Formosa's inch-perfect cross found Nevin Portelli at the right position to head well past the Citizens goalkeeper. Just before half-time, the Stripes made them two thanks to Nick Borg, after he was served by Zack Cassar.

Valletta were reduced to ten men in the second half, but they still managed to pull one back through a penalty to get back in the match. However, the Stripes held strong for a well-deserved victory.
