Under-19's Team lose to Pembroke Athleta

Birkirkara FC Under-19's Team suffered the second defeat in three matches when in a balanced match, a goal seventeen minutes from time awarded Pembroke Athleta FC a narrow 1-0 victory.

Following a goal-less draw in the first half, where most of the game was played in the midfield, and offering few scoring chances, Pembroke surged ahead on the seventy-third minute with a fine header.

Birkirkara could have equalised the score on the 85th minute when a fine pass from Leon Zammit towards Liam Reno Gatt, but it was saved by Pembroke's custodian who denied Birkirkara from a well deserved equaliser.
